The Seagate SkyHawk AI 20 TB (ST20000VE004) is a 3.5-inch surveillance HDD designed for AI-enabled network video recorders (NVRs) at the edge of the network. ImagePerfect™ AI firmware ensures zero frame loss even when recording up to 64 HD cameras (1080p, H.265, 25 fps) simultaneously and processing 32 AI streams in real time - with a capacity of up to 120 captured events per second and 96 comparison events per second. The helium-filled CMR design with built-in rotary vibration (RV) sensors ensures reliable writing even in multi-drive NAS/NVR environments without downtime. The 550 TB/year workload is more than three times higher than standard surveillance drives. The MTBF reaches 2.5 million hours, the drive is tarnish-resistant and includes a 3-year Rescue Data Recovery Services plan. SkyHawk Health Management technology actively monitors drive health and offers prevention, intervention, and data recovery capabilities.
