Wireless communication in the FireSafe network
The detector has an integrated RF module, which, thanks to the CONNECTED function, allows two or more FireSafe detectors to be wirelessly connected to create an interconnected wireless network. In such a case, if one of the devices triggers an alarm, it will send a radio signal and all other FireSafe system units connected to the network will also respond to the alarm.
FireSafe system with central control unit
The FireSafe Hub intelligent central control unit can be added to the wireless network. These units then enable convenient setup and control of the comprehensive FireSafe system remotely, thanks to an internet connection, using the intuitive free mobile application of the same name (for Android and iOS) designed for smartphones, tablets and more. The Hub monitors the activity of all connected FireSAFE CONNECTED sensors and devices, and in case of detection of danger, it immediately informs the system user in the form of an alarm and alarm push notifications in the FireSAFE application.
Alarm signaling of potentially dangerous levels of carbon monoxide
If the CO concentration reaches a certain threshold during detection, the detector will trigger a loud acoustic alarm signal of 85 dB accompanied by a flashing red LED indicator to indicate a carbon monoxide alarm, while the current measured CO concentration will be displayed on the detector's blue backlit display. This is a targeted attempt to attract the attention of people in the building using a high noise level and intense LED signaling that a potential danger is occurring in some part of the building. The purpose of a CO alarm is then to immediately respond to an alarm event or move people from the scene of an emergency to a safe zone.
Environmental display features
The backlit multi-function LCD display shows the current measured CO concentration in ppm in alarm mode, while in standby mode it alternates between the current room temperature and humidity information in the monitored space, allowing you to respond to dangerously low or high humidity or temperature conditions. The temperature level can be set to display in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) based on your preference.
If the detector is part of a fire safety system with the intelligent central control unit Hub FireSafe, individual data (battery status, room temperature and humidity, CO alarm information) are also displayed in the free FireSafe mobile application on your mobile phone or device.
Unique device design with IZOVAX protection
The combination of battery power and the design of the detector housing allow installation by placing the device in an optimal position on a horizontal surface. This does not require a fixed installation of the carbon monoxide detector on the wall, but it can be variably and freely placed (placed) on horizontal surfaces, such as shelves, bedside tables, window sills or other storage areas. The electronic components and the detector's printed circuit board are provided with an insulating and protective layer of varnish with IZOVAX nanoparticles, protecting the device's electronics even in very humid environments. The device can therefore be placed or installed, for example, in bathrooms with a fireplace, gas boiler, boiler rooms, dryers and the like.
Highest measured value memory
The SAFE 10YDCO – RF carbon monoxide detector has a memory function for the highest measured value. The memory records information about the highest measured CO concentration even when you are away. By pressing the combined TEST/SILENCE button, you can call up and display this information on the LCD display, regarding the highest levels of measured values since the last memory reset.
Alarm silence function
If the detector detects a threshold level of carbon monoxide concentration, it will trigger a warning signal to activate the alarm. In the event of an unwanted acoustic alarm signal, it can be temporarily silenced by pressing the TEST/SILENCE button or directly in the FireSafe application (the detector is added to a wireless network that includes the FireSafe Hub intelligent central control unit) for up to 9 minutes. The temporary silence mode is signaled by the device with a red LED indicator that flashes 4 times every 5 seconds in a regularly repeating interval without an accompanying acoustic signal from the buzzer. If the CO concentration subsequently decreases below the preset values, the detector automatically switches to normal operating mode.
Guaranteed operational performance for decades
Power is provided by an integrated 3 V lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable) guaranteeing an exceptionally long operation of the detector for more than 10 years. Battery operation allows for quick and easy installation and ensures proper functioning of the carbon monoxide detector for more than 10 years from activation. The power supply battery is activated by pulling out the locking clip on the back of the device. After 10 years of protection and with 30 days' notice, the detector will notify you of the end of its service life and automatically warn you that it needs to be replaced. The extended 10-year warranty covers both the battery and the device itself.
