PATTEX Chemoprene shoe glue 50ml

Pattex Chemoprén Footwear is a contact adhesive based on polyurethane in a mixture of organic solvents.

Area of application:

Special adhesive for bonding and repairing footwear, including sports footwear. It is suitable for all types of uppers and soles used in the footwear industry. It glues and firmly bonds a wide range and combination of materials: metal, rubber, leather, leatherette, cork, felt, textile, plasticized PVC, ABS, foam materials, wood, etc. Especially suitable for bonding plastics of different hardness such as PVC, polycarbonate, plexiglass, ABS, etc. Not suitable for bonding expanded polystyrene, PE, PP, Teflon.

Properties: transparent creates an almost invisible adhesive joint guarantees resistance to plasticizers of soft plastics (e.g. softened PVC) resistance to aging, water, solvents and acids

Technical data:

• Base: polyurethane
• Specific gravity: 0.89 g/cm³
• Consumption: 250–350 g/m² (when gluing on both sides)
• Airing time: 10–15 min (at room temperature)
• Processing (open time): press the glued joints within 60 min.
• Working temperature: we recommend processing at room temperature
• Pressing pressure: minimum 0.5 N/mm² (5 kg/cm²)
• Wood bonding: recommended wood moisture content between 8-12%
• Thermal resistance: from −40 °C to +70 °C
• Final strength: minimum 24 hours (depending on material and pressure)
• Minimum shelf life: min. 24 months
• Packaging: 50 ml tube

Storage:

Do not store at temperatures below +5 °C and above +50 °C. Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place.

Instructions for technical processing:

The materials to be glued must be dry, free of dust and grease. Remove grease and other impurities with a solvent, e.g. acetone or white spirit. Spread the glue evenly onto the glued surfaces with a brush or spatula. After the glue has aired out (10–15 min), press the glued parts together with as much force as possible.
