Formitox ant killing chalk is a fast, effective contact insecticide in the form of white chalk intended for killing ants of the species Monomorium pharaonis (Pharaoh ant) in the interiors of residential and non-residential premises . The duration of action is approximately 30 minutes after application.

The insecticide Formitox chalk contains three active ingredients, namely piperonyl, which does not have pesticidal effects on its own. However, if it is added to insecticide mixtures, typically pyrethrin, pyrethroid or carbamate insecticides, their effectiveness increases significantly, thus enabling the achievement of higher unmetabolized systemic concentrations of the active insecticide in the target organism for a longer period of time. The second active ingredient is tetramethrin, a strong synthetic insecticide belonging to the pyrethroid group. The third active ingredient is permethrin, a synthetic organic compound widely used as an insecticide, acaricide and repellent. It also belongs to the pyrethroid group. It acts as a neurotoxin, interfering with the function of neurons by prolonging the activation of sodium channels. It has a contact and gastrointestinal effect on ticks and mosquitoes, and at the same time has a strong repellent effect - also on beneficial insects.

Usage and dosage:
FORMITOX chalk is supplied packed in a plastic bag, from which it must first be removed. Then we mark the place where unwanted ants are found with a line in the same way as when writing with "regular" chalk on a blackboard. The ants then die within about 30 minutes after contact with the chalk. This way, you can easily create a closed space where ants can move away from their nest. After use, FORMITOX chalk can simply be wiped off with a napkin or cloth or sponge. Any breakage of the chalk does not reduce its use and effectiveness.
