Most of its composition consists of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). Unlike regular long-chain fatty acids, these are digested faster.

This oil comes from dried coconut pulp called copra. It is processed through a refining process, which releases the oil from the pressed copra. It is then bleached, deodorized and filtered to remove all impurities. The result is coconut oil that is odorless, has a coconut flavor and a high smoke point of between 200-230 °C.
